It's Thanksgiving and it looks like he's decided to leave the "Happy Thanksgiving" message up for a while. I'm not complaining. It's my favorite holiday.
When I first bought my house in July of 2009, one of the things that quickly became apparent was that my neighbor across the street decorated his house for every conceivable holiday. (When I moved in the lawn was decorated for Parents' Day...two weeks before the day itself...and yes, I had to look it up.) My neighbor is a guy in his 40s who lives there by himself, I think. Nice enough guy. Anyway, the decorations range from ridiculous to sublime, and I feel like somebody should be documenting this unique art form. I plan to take a photo each day for a year (beginning in spring 2010) and after that only when the yard is particularly remarkable. Enjoy!
EDIT: He's apparently MUCH older than I realized. Possibly in his 60s!
