April 13, 2010

Today, in daylight, you can get a better idea of what this actually looks like. The countdown today is at 17. Otherwise there's no change...

...which brings up another thing. The past two weeks have been interesting: changes literally every day for two weeks. That's unusual. It's much more common to have one setup, sometimes with a countdown, for a couple weeks before a holiday. Rather than post every day just to say nothing's changed, I'll just post when something does change. Never fear, though. I'll still be taking pictures every day. The goal is at least a year of continuous photos.

Stop the presses!! Easter decorations came down sometime today. (They were still up when I left for work this morning.) All the Easter stuff is completely gone, and the "Something Big Coming" display is front and center. It's a little difficult to see because it's a nighttime shot, but those are all little American flags. The countdown is washed out too, but rest assured it's set at 18 days. Classic example of how displays move around the yard to accommodate other holidays.

Well, you ask a silly question and you get a silly answer. Easter Sunday was last week, so today is just "Sunday". Other days of the week don't get this treatment.

Easter Saturday? I'm wondering how he's going to handle tomorrow. I mean, Easter Sunday was last week, so he's got to call it something else. Anyway, the rundown:
Center: Happy Easter
Right: Easter Saturday
Left: "Something Big" w/countdown at 20

More of the same today.
Center: Happy Easter
Right: Easter Friday
Left: "Something Big" w/countdown at 21.

It still lights up at night. This is getting old.

Surprise, surprise. Actually, I am kind of surprised that Easter is lasting this long. Still this appears to be the most active time of year. They display normally doesn't change on a daily basis. Today:
Center: Happy Easter
Right: Easter Thursday
Left: "Something Big" w/countdown at 22.

This picture was taken in the morning before I left for work. Also, Thursday is clearly trash day. Take a moment and appreciate my trash.
